Hi,
My Mac application quit unexpectedly and it said so with this error message below. I didn’t know what really happened.
Tried re-opening the application but the same thing happened. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the application?Â
Please help ASAP, I need to resolve this problem immediately. Thanks.
The application TrapLab quit unexpectedly.
Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.

Mac application quit unexpectedly error
Hi,
This problem is same to Window’s "illegal operation" that causes software to shutdown automatically without any notice. When an application shuts down by itself You know you are a victim , and when you clicked Relaunch and it will still eventually shut down. So the cause of this error could be subjective but I do not really run the 11 troubleshoot steps by xlab. For recover the situation following points are: System Preferences -> Dock: Minimize using: Scale Effect Unchecked both "Animate opening applications", "Automatically hide and show the Dock" Go to Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and click Verify Disk (or Repair Disk if necessary) If you are using Odium Instance Messenger, go to Preferences -> Advanced tab, under Contact List, un-check Animate Changes. You can check this link, https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/mac-error-applications-quits-unexpectedly/

Hey Lisa, my dear friend this type of problem only arises when there is a need of updating software or when one cannot update timely the software’s then this type of problem arises. So the solution for you is that you can again install that software and the start it again. May be there is another way which work but it’s not surely work and that one is you can click on the reopen tab and then try to run that program if it runs then on you have to do is scan that file from viruses and then check again that file.
