Looking for software program to recall recent files and window opened

I am looking for a program that can remember folders that were opened recently or the last window that was navigated. The program should be compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7, there is one that I came across but it was a bit outdated.

Looking for software program to recall recent files and window opened

Hi

This following method does not require any software as it is in windows. There is a folder called history in which there is a list of the files you have opened recently. It is well hidden. I will give you the steps to access it.

First open a folder and go to Folder Options in the tools menu. Go to the view tab and select View hidden files and folders and  two lines below, click on Hide protected operating system files so that it is not ticked (Tick it back again as soon as you finish my instructions). Now navigate to C:Documents and SettingsusernameLocal SettingsHistory where username is your account username. Now double click the time period and double click on My Computer. Select Details in View for easy reference. Each item refers to a file you opened recently.
