Looking for low cost msdos exe decompiler

Is it just me or msdos exe Decompiler is really an expensive application? I want to find out if an old msdos program that I have here was written originally and I badly need an exe Decompiler for msdos. I have reviewed several sites but the cheapest offer so far is $1000. Is this a reasonable price for a Decompiler? Can you suggest a Decompiler with lower cost?

There are many websites offering de compiler for free as well as paid versions.

Try to download the free version and check whether it works.
