My job responsibilities include the network monitoring. I want to learn network mapping and monitoring. One of my colleagues told me about the dude network monitoring tutorial. Please tell me which kind of tools I should use and from where I can find this tutorial free of cost.

It is a common task when it is monitoring system administrator to be aware of everything that happens with our system and the network.

There are many solutions for monitoring,

  • Network PRTG Monitoring of Microsoft is easy to use and configure.

But there are other open source tools and white. This has more tools, making a little more hard configure.

To start, you should test some and reviewing documentation.
