In the context of Wed browser development, what is responsive design? What is fixed layout? What is Fluid Layout? Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each layout? What are the other kinds of layouts used in web design? When do you use a fixed layout with the Pixel as a unit of measurement?

List the different types of layouts used in web design

In web designing, there are different layouts that can be applied and they are the following: fluid, liquid, elastic, flexible, relative, and fixed. In a fixed layout in web designing, the website is shown in the same size. It doesn’t matter whether the web browser is big or what type of font is selected for the page.

This kind of layout uses a measurement that is not dependent on other factors like the font size or the dimensions of the web browser window to establish the width of the page. The width of the page is often specified using a unit of measurement like pixel. Relative, liquid, fluid, flexible, and elastic layouts are all the same.

In a relative layout, the web page shrinks or stretches to fill the web browser window depending on its size. In this layout, it applies a relative unit of measurement to indicate the width of the web page. The content of the web page resizes to adjust to the size of the web browser window or the font used on the page.

List the different types of layouts used in web design

There are many web design layouts. These layouts are categorized as fixed, elastic & fluid layouts.

The Fixed Layout: In fixed layout pixels are used to create a webpage unit which makes it easy to create and make any changes or customizations in the web pages later.

Fluid Layout: In Fluid layout the web page elements are based on percentage without any white space.

 Elastic Layout: The most difficult layout which can only be created by expert in tech skills. This layout can be viewed in any browser as it's complete user friendly layout.
