Linux or Windows – for a web Server ??

I have designed a super website, based mostly on Flash applets and I need a professional consult about what should I use as my Server software, the web site clients architecture recommendations are high, because they must have a graphic card with minimum 512 Mb of ram , RAM over 2 GB and 3D support monitor.

The question is which server is going to be better about my website Linux's or Windows Server ?

Linux or Windows – for a web Server ??

Truly speaking both of them is good. It depends with which you are most comfortable and what are your requirements. Both Linux and Windows are different in cost and there use is also different.

Remember one thing that windows cost more than Linux. So if you just want to make it economic you should use Linux.

I am giving some features of both and then you can choose.

Linux: you can use scripts written in PHP, python and some other UNIX based languages. Linux supports MySQL database.

Windows: Run ASP script and use .NET. it supports Microsoft SQL server.
