Hi there experts, I had just installed the latest release of Recovery Tool Freeware into my Windows 7 64 bit OS. At first it showed compatibility issues so I run it using windows XP mode; after installation-

I wanted to test it and so shut down the PC and restarted it again, and then entered the program but it is not working, my screen turns into a black screen for some seconds and then it restarts. I am really worried about what is wrong with it. Please help!

Running some application using the compatibility mode sometimes may not work. There are times that it works but most of the time the result is a failure. Running any programs under compatibility mode is not an assurance that it will run correctly.

If you are already sure that the application you are installing is already not compatible with your operating system, then why still proceed with the installation. After all, the outcome is usually negative.

Since this is what happened to your Windows 7 after the experimental installation of the incompatible program, try restarting your computer in Safe Mode. Start your computer normally then right before the Windows logo appears press F8 immediately. On the next screen, select Safe Mode then hit Enter.

After successfully booting in Safe Mode, uninstall the application that caused this problem then restart your computer normally. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

If you are still eager to install this application on your computer, try to find another version that supports Windows 7.
