Large pragmatic project for solid waste management

Hello Managing Experts I am research student at National University of Sciences and Technology Islamabad, I am interested in project management specially in solid waste management. Can anyone tell me how to develop focus into a large pragmatic project that will enable me to expend minimum effort and achieve maximum gain in a short time period.

Hi Sanaullah89,

Are you planning to go into business yourself or are you willing to work for some other company?

Will your business be at home or abroad?

There are prospects of solid waste management business in countries like USA, Australia, Norway and other developed nations where they handle their waste in most scientific and hygienic way in regards to collection, transportation, disposal, separation and recycling of solid waste.

On the other hand, developing countries such as Asia and African countries are falling behind with waste management technologies.

Large pragmatic project for solid waste management

Hi Sanaullah,

So far the established solid waste treatment technologies are following:

1. Composting
2. Incineration
3. Landfill
4. Recycling
5. Windrow composts

Follow the traditional approach to solid waste management like collecting, transporting and disposing of solid waste for developing countries are very costly  to build and operate. Therefore the solution lies in improving waste collection system by treating wastes as a resource. For this reason, composting and recycling waste management approach analysis can enable you to expend minimum effort and achieve maximum gain in a short time period.
