Try the steps below they may help with the problem. Make sure that the laptop is in a clear place where the signal cannot be blocked by the TV, pipes, wiring, a wall, or pillar. You can also do a signal strength test. This is done by using another electrical device with Wi-Fi connectivity like a cell phone. Walk around and find out where the signal strength is the strongest around the area where your TV is and set the laptop where the signal is the strongest. Feel free to adjust the screen and try to get a better signal as well. If this does not work, try boosting the wireless signal by moving the laptop closer to the access point (router) or moving the access point closer to the TV. If this does not work, try resetting your wireless receiver on your laptop itself. This is done by turning off the wireless receiver from the menu bar. Wait 1-2 minutes then turn it back on. If the signal appears to be weak or will not connect at all restart the laptop. If the problem still persists after all these steps have been taken, there might be a hardware issue and if this is the case you have a few options on getting help with this. You can visit a local Apple store where they can run immediate diagnostic test and figure out the problem. You can also contact the technical support team online at apple.com or by phone at 1-800-apl-care.
