Laptop charger problem plugs in but does not work

Hey guys,

I have a laptop charger problem. 

Last week I bought a new battery to see if this will solve the problem, but it didn't. It will charge when the laptop is off but once it is on the desktop it ceases charging. Before this problem had occurred I was using the laptop for a good week and all of a sudden, this happened.

Laptop charger problem plugs in but does not work

Hi Jose,
There can be several reasons for this problem. To resolve:
1) Check for the laptop settings. In the 'Control Panel' open the power options. Open the plan settings and check that the settings are properly assigned for battery, display
2) Check that the connector socket is properly working. Faulty socket connections can also lead to the charging problem
3) Rise in Temperature can also be the reason for charging. Shut down the  system as it must be cooled down. Restart the system
4) Check for motherboard, logic boards, battery sensors. Damages in any of these devices can lead to battery problem
