Joomla component not found error

Hi,

I have installed Joomla 1.5 but when I use it an error arises saying, "404-component not found".  Please tell me how to get rid of this error.

I encounter this error when I go to the main page.

Please help me out.

Joomla component not found error

First of all, the "404-component not found error" in Joomla 1.5 is trying to state that you are missing a default menu item in your Joomla 1.5. 

To fix your problem just follow these steps: *This will make you set a default menu for the admin area of your Joomla.

1. Click menus.

2. Choose any menu item.

3. Click on the Default button on the upper right of your menu. This will set your chosen menu item as default.
