Hi Mash Quizon,

Well, that surely is a problem. Not being able to play your iPod Nano is quite sad. This problem has been common to all of iPod Nano users including you. Anyway, Apple has already released troubleshooting tips to repair or get rid of this error. Well, connect it to your computer.  Once it is connected to the computer, it should probably turn on. Once it turns on, reset iPod Nano. The steps on how to reset it should probably be in your manual. Another thing you could do is charging it for a couple of hours. Let it charge for a whole night or probably the whole day. Maybe, it should revive your iPod Nano. If all else fail, then bring it to your nearest service center.

If your iPod nano works only when it is connected to the computer and the screen turns off and remains dark once it is disconnected from the machine, you probably have a power issue on your device. First, charge your iPod for at least ten minutes to make sure the battery has enough power to turn on the device.

After that, turn it on. If the iPod doesn’t turn on even after charging it for ten minutes, try resetting it while it is connected to power. To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears. Once you see the logo on the screen, connect the iPod to the computer and verify that it appears in iTunes and it can play music.

If iTunes is showing your iPod and your device can play music, no additional troubleshooting is required. On the other hand, if the screen remains black and doesn’t turn on, your iPod may require service.
