Hi! my iPad acts like it will be starting up, but it just freezes on start up screen. I don't know what to do to get it to continue booting up. I have let it sit forever and it just sits there and does nothing. Can you assist me with the resolutions? Thank you in advance.

Reset your iPad:

  1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button at the top of the iPad
  2. Press and hold in the Home button at the same time
  3. Keep holding both buttons – the screen should turn off and back on again

If resetting your device doesn’t work:

  1. Turn off the device
  2. Connect the USB cable to your laptop/computer.  Do not plug it into your device
  3. Press and hold the Home button and connect the other end of the cable into your device while holding the Home button
  4. Continue holding the home button until you see the following on your screen: “Connect to iTunes”
  5. Let go of the home button
  6. Open iTunes on your laptop/computer
  7. You should see the following on your screen: ”iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode”
  8. Click on the Restore button

Note: This step might need to be repeated many times to recover your device

Also try:

  1. Hold in the plus volume key for about 30 seconds until the Apple logo appears to boot the device in safe mode.  Keep holding the volume key until the device boots up and your Home screen is displayed
