Internet Explorer saving in BMP format alone

Hello Techyv Friends, I am using Internet Explorer 8 recently it is having an issue, Images opened in Internet Explorer saving in BMP format alone, even if the opened file is in jpeg format. Does any one face such issue with Internet Explores. Please guide me to resolve this issue. Regards, Ethan Jessica

Internet Explorer saving in BMP format alone

Hi Jessica,

All you have to do is to follow these steps :

1. Run Internet Explorer.

2. Empty the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder.

– On the tools menu, click Internet Options.
– Click General.
– Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files.
– Finally, click ok.

3. Delete the files in the Downloaded Program Files folder that are listed as either Unknown or Damaged.

– On the tools menu, click Internet Options.
– Click general.
– Under Temporary Internet Files, click Settings
– Click View Objects.
– In the Status column, note the files that are listed as either Unknown or Damaged. Remove these files. To do so, right-click the file, and then click Remove.
– Confirm the removal.
– Close the Downloaded Program Files window, and then click OK two times.

If the issue continues to occur after you remove all downloaded program files that are listed as Unknown or Damaged, try removing the other downloaded program files that are on the list.
