Yesterday while taking out the printout of certain documents, an error was encountered. I tried solutions I could see still I am not able to solve it.
These are the things that you can try-
Install the utility by following simple installation instructions, and finally launch the program to fix your ststring.dll errors and other issues.
If you receive that error when printing a document, first, check that the cable is connected properly to the computer. Try transferring the USB cable to another USB port then try printing again and see if it works. If this doesn’t work, uninstall the printer software and download the latest from the printer manufacturer’s website. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it.
Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select your HP Photosmart 8400 printer software among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer.
When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then go to HP Photosmart 8400 Printer series to download the driver. Here, select your correct operating system and click “Change” to display the download. Download and install all available drivers then see if it works.
