Install in progress conflicts with a previously installed Microsoft Office

As I attempted installing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 but it was not successful due to an error which says,

The install in progress conflicts with a previously installed Microsoft Office 2010 Server product.

I have tried basic troubleshooting and also uninstalled MS Office 2010 Server, but this still occurs.

Any solution?

Dear user,

After doing some research via Google, I have figured out the solution for your problem. You see, there must be a problem with the registry for your Office Web Apps.  You have to manually delete them, then reboot your computer and run CC Cleaner.

Hello Ahart,

Please check the program files/ Microsoft Office servers.

I am sure this file is still there. that's why this problem creating.

Please delete this file and then install Microsoft Office 2010 server product. 

Hope this will solve your problem.

Install in progress conflicts with a previously installed Microsoft Office

Hi,

Easy way to fix this problem is that, you have to use “Windows installer CleanUp Utility” which shows you all the  listed office Web Application by their name and you can remove by this tool all related Sharepoint  applications.

After that procedure, restart your computer and run the Sharepoint 2010 installer package.
