IMVU has encountered a problem

I have been using IMVU for at least 3 years as far I know. It baffles me that for the first time I logged in an error message keeps showing up saying that “Oops! IMVU has encountered a problem.

Your software will send us a message describing the problem so we can fix it!”. This message keeps appearing for the past few weeks every time I try to access it. What is the fix for this?

IMVU has encountered a problem

Hello Walter

I am aware of this problem with IMVU, and with this error showing up, and I might be able to help you. IMVU is a software that adapts harder to recent changes (power went off, PC shuts down, restart and others). Updates are also factors that may cause IMVU to crash at startup.

What you have to do, is first Uninstall IMVU and everything related to it. Be sure to clear the cache out to.

Second of all, you must download an older version of IMVU, install it, and then upgrade it to current status. Downloading the latest version will not make it work.

Here is a link from where you can download IMVU 484.0. Remember, you must first remove everything related to the software. After that, you can install an older version, and upgrade to current version.
