Icons in my pc are upside down except for cursor.

Hello experts,

I am facing a problem. Almost all the icons on my desktop are upside down; yet the arrow/cursor is same.

What happened here? I don’t remember making any changes in the settings.

How can I fix it?

Please help.

Hi Sheryn Simms,

Many people have encountered that kind of unexpected error especially on Operating Systems running on Windows. I have one best solution for your problem.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. 

Perform a restoration of your PC and select from the dates given by the computer to which your PC is in good running condition.

After the restoration process, your computer rebooted and then your problem is already fixed.

Hi Shern, 

It seems you have pressed the shortcut keys Ctrl, shift or ALT + your arrow keys accidently and have your PC screen upside down. Just use the same shortcut keys until you get your screen reverted back, if you can't mean follow my steps correctly. 

Now go to control panel by clicking on start and then find the display option and click on it and then click on the screen resolution on the left of the window which is opened and then in the orientation section make sure it is in landscape mode and not landscape (flipped mode).

Icons in my pc are upside down except for cursor.

I never thought it would be easy to solve this. 

Changing the appearance of the display was only needed to bring back to its normal view.
