Hey. The configuration and management of operating systems are provided by the Group Policy. Also, management of applications and settings of users in an Active Directory environment is done by the Group Policy. A Group Policy Object (GPO) is the collection of Group Policy Configuration. Here is the list of rules for the group policy domain controller:

  • The list of group policy objects is gathered by the Domain Controller with the help of searching the parent containers.
  • If the group policy object is linked to the Domain container, then the domain controller applies the earlier settings.
  • If various group policy objects linked with the Domain container, then the group policy object’s application starts along with the group policy object (bottom of the list) and ends with the group policy object (top).
