I need bing data application to import excel data.

Hi! I have a lot of information in an excel sheet that I have gathered from different sources. I would like to create bing maps using the data so that I can easily share it online. I need bing data excel application or procedure that I can use to import excel data into bing. Any help with this will be highly appreciated.

Hello Dorothy,

To get the Excel sheets into Bing, you need to make sure few things. You must have three columns “Latitude” and “Longitude” and the third one is “EntityID”. EntityID” column is a unique identifier for each record which you have to create. An easy solution to create this column is to give the first record an id of 1 and then the second record of 2 and so on. From here you can save your file by using the Save as option. If you are geocoding the data source then you can leave the Latitude and Longitude columns empty. For geocode you will need few columns which contain address information. Now go to the Bind Maps Data Uploader. After that you can use these tools to upload the data into Bing. Then to query your data source you can use query API of this service.
