Itunes Error on extensions when converting files

Hello experts,

just  this morning, I received an email from a friend asking for some help regarding his iTunes.  While he was converting some files an error message appeared.  He emailed me the screen shot, that I also posted below, for complete understanding of the issue.

Are you sure you want to change the extension

 from “.m4a” to “.m4r’?

If you make this change, your document may open in  a different application

His concern is, he wants to get rid of the message that he gets, every time he makes conversion.  Since I am not quite familiar with iTunes, I don't have any idea on how to help him.  That is why I am posting the error message on behalf of my friend.

Please help find ways on getting rid of the confirmation message, thank you.

Hi there.

Is your friend trying to convert music files from .m4a to .m4r? If he does, then in the process of doing such, he would really encounter this message: “Are you sure you want to change the extension from “.m4a” to “.m4r’?  If you make this change, your document may open in a different application”

That doesn’t look like an error message and it’s just a pop up for confirmation and part of the conversion process iniTunes. If he is trying to convert .m4a file to .m4r file, he needs to select the option Use m4r.
