I Have An Issue While Installing Windows, And It Gives An 80200053 Error

80200053 error is a Windows update error message that occurs when the user tries to download Windows Update. The error message will appears like “Code 80200053: Windows Update encountered an unknown error.” The cause of the Windows Update error is due to various reasons, and those reasons are:

• Programs or processes that interfere with Internet communications.
• Resources issues on the computer.
• High Internet activity.
• Recoverable database errors.
• Interference of Antivirus and firewall.
• Incorrect Windows update data locations.
• Corruption of Windows update Component.

The solution to resolve the error code is:

Solution 1: Turn off, Windows Defender.

Step 1: Enter the Settings and turn off Defender in public and private networks.
Step 2: Go on the Start button, then type Command prompt.
Step 3: Now, type the command “netsh winhttp import proxy source=ie” and press Enter.

Solution 2: Disable the Anti-virus program.

Solution 3: Using Media Creation Tool.

Step 1: Download the Media Creation Tool.
Step 2: Run the tool and Accept the Terms and Conditions for the application.
Step 3: Select Upgrade this PC option.
Step 4: Once it downloads files, MCT will start applying the updates.

This process will take more than 2 hours, depending on the Windows version and Internet Connection.
