I get the Snappy Fax code error about printer driver

I use Snappy Fax 4 for faxing documents using my HP K510a printer.  I now have installed version 5 and I'm having a Snappy Fax code error "the printer driver will not install".  Do I have to uninstall Snappy Fax 4 first?  Please help.  Thanks.

Yes you have to do that. To install a different version program you need to uninstall the previous before you proceed. Except the program in the computer has the option to upgrade. From which you will just need to click upgrade and achieve the process through the internet where you download the upgrades, it automatically installs. Adding like you did may only cause both files not to function properly or give error. Now you need to uninstall both if you did install them and can see them, go to your computer’s system programs. You do that by going through my computer, open the drive C and you will find programs, from which you will check if there was any patch left after uninstalling. Delete them manually. Restart you computer and you can the install version 5.

If you encountered a problem with Snappy Fax, check if you are using a trial version and the trial is not expired. By default, when you install the trial of Snappy Fax, you have thirty (30) days to use it for free. After this period, you have to either purchase it to continue using it or uninstall it because it will no longer work.

If there is no problem like you are using a licensed version or the trial period is still valid, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select your Snappy Fax among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install Snappy Fax back. If the problem continues, go to HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads. Here, enter your printer’s serial number or model number then click to search.

When your product is located, click it to go to the download page. Go to the drivers download section or tab. Your operating system should be detected automatically. If a different operating system is displayed, click to change then select your correct operating system. Download and install all available drivers and software for your printer. Try also downloading the latest Snappy Fax trial.

The latest version at the moment supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Windows 2000 and earlier are not supported. All Microsoft Windows Server versions are supported.
