How are you,

I am a rapper and I have been enjoying recording my music on my COMPAQ computer using Adobe audition for a long time with no problems.

However, the other day, while in the process of recording my music, a message pops up interrupting the whole process with the this error message.

Kindly,I need help fast as I have a concert coming up soon.

Shutting Down…

To continue working where you left off, please restart Audition.

Much gratitude.

Since you are already using Adobe Audition for quite some time now and this is the only time that this error happened, I think your program here, maybe one of its core components, totally crashed and prevents anyone from opening it.

If you are in the middle of something the last time you used it before it crashed, the unfinished project is not recoverable. If that message still appears even if you restart Adobe Audition, even if you restart your computer, try reinstalling the program.

It might solve the problem.

Uninstall the program first then run a disk check to verify your hard drive for any file errors.

  1. In Windows Explorer, right-click on drive C and then choose Properties.
  2. Click on Tools tab.
  3. Under Error checking, hit on Check Now button.
  4. Under Check disk options, choose Automatically fix file system errors then hit Start. Wait for disk check to finish.

After the disk check, install again Adobe Audition.

It has a fresh configuration now so I’m sure it’ll going to work.
