I Face A 0x80090005 Bad Data Error Message For Creating A New GPO Service

0x80090005 bad data error occurs when the user deletes a protected file in Windows 10 OS. This error also occurs when posting a certificate to a Microsoft CA. The error message appears: “PostCSR failed with error: Bad Data. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80090005).”

The steps to fix the 0x80090005 error message are as follows:

Method 1:

Perform a scan using Windows Defender.

Step 1: Go to the Start option, then go to Settings and open Update and Security.
Step 2: In the Windows Security option, select Virus and threat protection.
Step 3: Under the Current threats section, select Scan options.
Step 4: Select Microsoft Defender Offline scan, and then select Scan now.

Method 2:

Perform Disk Clean-up.

Step 1: Go to the Start option and type Disk Cleanup in the search box.
Step 2: Open Disk Cleanup and select the drive in which the Windows App Download is then clicked on OK.
