I cannot find my CF card in the computer

Hi,

I am having problems accessing my CF card in my computer. I have a multi format card reader which I use to access my CF card when transferring images from my canon camera to the computer. I tried to use it recently but I cannot find the CF card because it seems to have vanished from the list. I tried finding it in My Computer, Control Panel, Device Manager, and even ran a search for the drive but unfortunately, it I was nowhere to found. Can somebody tell me how and where I can locate it?

I cannot find my CF card in the computer

I would like for you to try first using all available USB slots for your multiple format card reader. If it still does not work try using another USB cable (assuming your card reader connection is bridged using a USB Cable). Also try applying the aforementioned steps to another computer if you have the luxury to do so. If it does not read on another computer, chances are that the card reader is broken. You could use another CF card and insert it to your card reader. If it still does not read, the card reader is the real culprit. Just try out and buy another replacement card reader from a reputable seller in your vicinity. Hope I could be of help and good luck.
