It's really very annoying. I don't know what's exactly happening. I have plugged my Microphone on the front jack and activated the voice recognition feature. When I speak on the Microphone, I hear my own voice X3. What has gone wrong? What is the cause of this error? How can I fix this?

  • It can be that the other party might be using speakers aloud so that you get the echo of your own sound.
  • Also the presence of any other activated recording devices can cause this issue. So, try disabling them, if any by following these steps,

    • Go to Start > Control panel > Hardware and sound > Sound > Recording > Right click and disable all the minor devices except your preferred microphones.
  • Furthermore, the Microphone boost feature available in some sound cards can also result this issue. So, it is advisable to disable the feature by following these steps,

    • Go to Start > Control panel > Hardware and sound > Sound > Recording > Right click the headset > Properties > Select the "levels" tab > Deselect Microphone boost > Click Apply
  • If all these alternatives fail to solve the issue, go back to Microphone properties window & click on "listen" tab. Then uncheck the "listen to this device" option if it is checked and click Apply. Best regards!
