HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer won’t print

Hello! I am experiencing some issues with my HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer. It is in perfect working conditions, and normally prints without problems. However, it refuses to print after going to sleep mode. It works fine as soon as I turn it on, but won´t print after it has been in sleep mode for a bit. It is not a major problem, but still an inconvenience.

Is there a solution for this?

This is a real headache for people that own an HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer. This issue really happened to many users. Some of them found an easy solution to this issue by unplugging the printer from the AC outlet and then plugging it in again and it should wake up the printer after this.

But the problem with this method is that it is not a permanent solution because it will go to sleep again and you have to repeat the same steps over and over again every time you use the printer. This would be an easy way maybe for several days or weeks but in the long run this method of waking up the printer will get you annoyed.

Try this method instead and hope that it will be a permanent solution for you. Click Start, Control Panel, Printers and Other Hardware, and then Printers and Faxes. Right-click HP Officejet Pro 8500 then select Properties. Click Printing Defaults then select Advanced tab. Turn on “HP Real Life Technologies” then click OK. See if this works.
