I was trying to install HP Laser Jet on my computer when suddenly an error message appeared.
The error situation code on screen is 10848640.
How can I resolve this issue so I can continue the installation of HP software?
Your suggestion is highly appreciated.

The following lines were retrieved from the installation error logs.

Error message received: The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing
this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2753.

Seems you have same problem that i had to face sometime when i download corrupted installation software from internet with pour internet data transfer speed. Here few things need to remember before make any installation.
* Disable your Antivirus
* Make sure installation source is perfect or active or readable.
* Download software from trusted web portal
* Download with an uninterrupted internet service with a minimum good speed that the download finishes well.
If you are still facing the same problem then you may have to call for an expert, with available accessories an expert can find and solve your problem in a better time than any other.

Since you are installing the printer software or driver on Microsoft Windows XP, check that the driver you are installing is compatible with your operating system. If you are installing an HP printer, the easiest way to fix it is to download the latest software from the HP website. To download the driver for your printer, go to HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads.
Here, enter your printer’s product name under “Enter your product name” then click “Submit”. Like for example without quotes “HP OfficeJet 4630”. Or try entering the model number or serial number which you can find at the bottom or on the side of the printer. Once you’ve located your product, click your printer to go to the download page.
Select your correct operating system then download and install all available software for your printer. This should fix the problem. If on the other hand your operating system is not supported, I guess the best thing to do is to shift or upgrade your platform to a higher version supported by the software.
If the installer you are using is from a CD or DVD, try copying the installer or the contents of the disc to a blank folder on your hard drive and install from there.
