We have been using the old programming languages and planning to convert COBOL to SAS automatically in order to optimize the integration of our existing financial management system to new business projects of our company. We would like to make it done as soon as possible so we want to know how convert automatically our program from COBOL to SAS system.

How we can convert cobol to sas automatically?

Dear Jennifer,

Conversion from COBOL to SAS system can be done by a software named COB2SAS. It is given by SAS which takes COBOL File Descriptor (FD) input and converts it into SAS INPUT and LABEL statements. With the help of these we can both read a file and create a SAS data set. This program can also handle MVS, CMS, VSE, and OpenVMS operating system. You can also use help from the link below:
