How to turn off Xfinity’s ability to create a hotspot

I have Xfinity router from Comcast and one of its features is the ability to turn the network into a wifi hotspot. Although, one needs to have an Xfinity subscriber login to be able to use the network, some neighbors claimed they were able to get free access to my network. i'm feeling paranoid over this. How do I turn the feature off?

How to turn off Xfinity’s ability to create a hotspot

Hello,

Try below solution.

1. Go to Comcast website.

2. Login to your account. After successful login you will see an option of "user & preferences". You can see that one into the top bar.

3. Click "Manage Xfinity WiFi". You can find that one under service address selection. Here you can disable the Wi-Fi home hotspot. If you don't find this option it means that your router or modem doesn't support that.
