Follow these steps to turn on your GPS:

First, press the MENU key (On your main display). The sub menu will be displayed.

Then, go to SETTINGS icon and when it was displayed, choose LOCATION and SECURITY option.

Switch on GPS satellites and tap on USE GPS satellites option. A tick will be placed by USE GPS satellites fields. That’s it!

Hope it will help you.

If you have Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830, here’s how to turn on the GPS or the Global Positioning System. On your phone, tap the menu icon then navigate to “Settings” then “Location and security”. On the next screen, select or check an option:

  • Use wireless networks – turning this option on will determine your position faster but may lead to an increase in data usage.
  • Use GPS satellites – turning this option on will allow your device to locate your exact position using satellite-based GPS but this requires a clear view of the sky.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 is a discontinued 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies measuring 112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5 millimeters and weighing 113 grams. It uses mini-SIM card and has TFT capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 320 x 480 pixels screen resolution protected with Corning Gorilla Glass featuring TouchWiz UI 3.
