I have a virtual machine with VHD format and I need to use it my VMware workstation. It means I need to convert vhd to vmx. So, can you please tell me the step by step process?
There are some steps which are used for converting,
1. Firstly, you have both file VHD and VMware.
2. Create a folder in any place and copy the .vhd file and paste it.
3. For converting, you also need a VMC file. So, download it and change the name .vmc and paste it the same folder in which .vhd file.
4. Open the file in any editor and edit the path of the .vhd file.
5. Launch VMware and click to convert machine.
6. Select the path of the .vhd file.
7. Click on next and then check VMware tools install or set to YES. If YES, then again click ok.
8. Double click to all information and then finish.
