I am unable to install the apps that I have downloaded from the Microsoft store. When I try to install the apps, I get a 0x8007064a error that says something went wrong during installation. I removed the app and tried to install it again, but the error continues. How to troubleshoot?

How To Troubleshoot The 0x8007064a Error In Windows 10?

There can be registry problems with the system. We will try an easy method to fix the 0x8007064a error, and if it does not help, we will go to the registry.

Method 1

a. Open Microsoft Store.
b. On the top-right corner, you will find the user icon.
c. Click on it.

d. Sign-out of your account.
e. Click on the Get button for the app you want.
f. Sign in to your account.
g. Your problem may no longer exist.

Method 2

a. Press Windows + R.
b. Type Regedit and press enter.
c. Paste this in the address bar on top, after computer – \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\Repository, and hit enter.

d. Right-click on Packages.
e. Go to Permissions.

f. Open Advanced.
g. Click on Change.

h. Type SYSTEM in the box.
i. Click on OK in all the open dialogue box.
j. Restart your device.
k. Your problem will no longer exist.
