It is a common complaint by windows user that a popup dialog box suddenly appears claiming “windows has detected an IP address conflict.” Well, this is a network error which occurs in your system due to the settings of network connections or the router. It also occurs if one or more systems are using the same network. It can affect a single system due to the lack of proper settings.

There could be various ways to fix this error but in just three simple steps you can put an end to this. That is how it works-

i.) Go to the start menu and type command prompt or cmd in the search bar. Then click on the command prompt and select the option run as administrator.

ii.) When you will choose run as administrator, it will ask a yes or no option for user control. Tap yes to get the user account control done.

iii.) The last step is to type some commands when the dialog box appears. A black colored window will appear where you have to type some commands and then tap enter.
Type the following commands in the pop-up dialog box-

IPconfig/release
IPconfig/renew
Now press the enter command after typing each.

Now, wait for some time when you are working and then check whether the same error appears or not.

Another solution for the same problem is to restart your router or network. It can also help in the removal of IP address error.
