I was reading an article about computer BIOS and BIOS updates. I was curious about what my computer’s BIOS looked like. Unfortunately, I do not know how to get into bios on Acer aspire. Can someone help me with this?
BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output System. One might want to get into the BIOS of their computer to tweak several CPU settings to increase performance or something as trivial as changing the system clock. Getting into the BIOS is generally easy if you know the right key.
Generally, in almost all computers, to enter the BIOS, as soon as you hit the power button, you need to hit one of the function keys before Windows starts booting. For Acer laptops, the key is generally F2. If this does not work, try all function keys to identify the right key. Pressing F2 as soon as you hit the power button will get you into the BIOS of your system.
In computer, the term “BIOS” stands for “Basic Input/Output System”. It is the program hard-coded to the motherboard which the processor uses to start the computer after you turn it on. It handles and stores the configurations of the hardware or devices you install on your computer like the hard drive, video card, sound card, memory card or memory module, processor, and so on.
Accessing the BIOS is quite easy. Right after you press the power button on the CPU, press Del, Delete, F2, or whichever key is used to go to the BIOS. You can see the right key to use on the startup screen or in the BIOS screen. The cooling system of the CPU is also handled by the BIOS.
You can set the cycle rate or the speed of the rotation of the cooling fans in the BIOS or let it handle the speed according to the current temperature reading.
