I am trying to install a new printer with my Windows 10 laptop, but I encountered the error saying – “Operation cannot be completed. Print Processor does not exist with an error code 0x00000706.” I have updated the drivers as well. How to fix this?

How To Fix A 0x00000706 Error In Windows 10?

0x00000706 error seems to be a registry error. Try out these methods

Method 1 

a. Search Run in the start menu.
b. Open the Run dialogue box.
c. Type regedit in the dialogue box and press enter.
d. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Print Processors\winprint

e. Check if the driver exists.
f. If not, right-click on the right pane and select New->String Value.

g. Set Value Name as Driver.
h. Set Value Data as winprint.dll.
i. Restart your device.
j. Connect your printer.

Method 2 

a. Search Run in the start menu.
b. Open the Run dialogue box.
c. Type printui /s /t2.
d. Printer Server Properties will open.
e. Remove the printers.
f. Select the Remote driver and driver package.
g. Restart your device.
h. Connect your printer.
