I want to know the procedure to configure ADFS. On a local base. Please provide me the steps to configure a local active directory federation server.

To configure a local server follow steps.

  • Open server manager.
  • Select tools.
  • Select ADFS management.
  • Select AD FS server configuration wizard.
  • Make a new Federation Server.
  • Select new federation server farm.
  • Click Next.
  • There will be an SSL certificate which should be pre-populated.
  • The federation service name should be similar to the SSL certificate.
  • Click next.
  • Enter the service account name and password.
  • Click next.
  • Click next.
  • If everything check mark is green that means the setup is all OK.
  • Click close.
