When shooting videos in 4K with 3840×2160 resolution using the Panasonic Lumix GH4, is it possible to scale most of the footages to HD with 1920×1080 resolution? If this is possible, how can it be done? Is there a way to do this without making several copies of 4K footages before scaling it to HD?

Hi Corey, yes this is quite possible if you could just create a new project at the frame of 1920 x  1080 & try to drop the compound clip in. By this procedure you could be able to accomplish your objective to render out a sample, and won’t have to export the edited clip at all saving you some hours. Another option for you to choose is of course to start your timeline as 1920 x 1080. Think it would be much slower working with a 4k footage in an HD timeline than working directly with 4k. Last option is for you to import the 4k clip, and select the clips in the browser, and try to set the spatial conform to none. This will display the 4k resolution extended way out of the usual 16:9 frame margin.
