How to resolve bitdefender 1500 error?

I am using windows 7 and I want to install bit defender total security. I purchased the CD from the shop. But I am facing a problem “bitdefender 1500 error” that whenever I Tried to install it an error message occurs: "Error 1500. Another installation is already in progress. Complete that install before proceeding with this installation."

Please tell me is there problem in BitDefender or Installer? While my other installation is normal.

How to resolve bitdefender 1500 error?

Hello,

Maybe you have some installation in your system who is not finished. If that’s the reason why you get Error 1500 you have to delete that previous unfinished installation.

You can try to fix by open Run and type regedit.exe. In registry editor find  HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsInstallerInProgress. Double click with mouse on value Default. Then delete the data for the value.

Now go to services.msc by typing in Run. Search by the name and find Windows Installer from a list. With right click open Properties. Set the Startup type to disabled. Click OK. Restart your computer.

After restarting, go back in services by typing services.msc in RUN, find again Windows Installer and set the Startup Type back to Manual.

Alternative, you can scan your computer with registry optimizer tool and the tool will find problems and repair them.
