Hi Anthony, in order for you to replace the Lenovo laptop CMOS you need two things: First the battery itself and then the Phillips head screwdriver.  First unplug the laptop’s power cable then shut down the computer. Remove also anything attach to the machine. Now turn the laptop in such a way that the bottom half of the machine is facing upward. Next, slide the battery bay’s release button to its  the unlock position. Now gently removed the laptop’s main battery. Now, remove the screw at the bottom of the case which holds the memory compartment cover. Gently, remove the memory compartment module cover and try to find the CMOS battery, which looks like any ordinary watch battery, which is below this module. Then disconnect the cable which is attached to the current battery. Remove the stale battery and put inside the new replacement battery. Next, replace the cable and set the memory compartment cover onto the laptop case & re-connect the screw. Insert now the laptop’s main battery and check now the device. Now, you’re good to go and the new CMOS battery is now servicing your laptop’s components. Check this link for further step-by-step video. CMOS
