How to receive reminders for recurring events

Hi,

I have issues in receiving reminders for recurring events that I have newly set up on my Outlook. But, I do receive reminder pop-ups for all single and recurring events that I have imported from my Outlook 2003. How can I resolve this problem? Can anyone help me? Thanks.

How to receive reminders for recurring events

This is an unusual yet common problem among many MS Outlook users. This is caused by a certain type of virus. It can also cause some other problems in MS Outlook. It will be best if you try re-installing the program and try again or scan your whole PC with a licensed anti-virus software.

If your problems are not gone by now you can try rebooting the whole system using the Windows CD. Remember to back up your important files before you start formatting your system or else you will lose a lot of your important things.

How to receive reminders for recurring events

 

Hello Sammy,

First of all try cleaning the reminder. Simply open command prompt and write about that the following command: "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice11Outlook.exe /cleanreminders" (without quote). Using this you can clear the whole reminder and this works fine.

Suppose you want to delete a specific reminder and don’t want to bother with other reminders then you have to go through MFCMAPI. You can this is a tool and you can download it from:http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com/releases/view/39272

Now open MFCMAPI and go into session and log in. Select your profile and then mailbox, expand root-mailbox than finders, and now select reminder and open contents table. Now find the corrupted reminder and delete that message.

You can also try by updating the outlook.
