Hi. I have recently started using Windows Vista. I want to locate the recycle bin on my PC. Also, can I hide it whenever I want to? How to open recycle bin? What are the steps to restore a file in case I have deleted it by mistake? Please reply ASAP. Thanks in advance.

How To Open Recycle Bin Using Simple Steps

Hi. To learn how to open recycle bin or hide it whenever required, first click on start and then type recycle bin in the search bar. Click on the icon to open it. To hide it, click on start and then click on control panel. Next, the appearance and personalization option needs to be selected. Then, click on personalization following which change desktop icons needs to be selected. The recycle bin’s check box can be checked for it to appear or unchecked to hide it. Files can be restored from the recycle bin by clicking on the icon of recycle bin on the desktop.

Double-click on the recycle bin icon to view all the deleted files which are contained in it. To restore the files, select the file which is to be restored right-click the file and select the restore option.

You can also, select the file, right-click on it and select cut and then paste it to the desired location.
