Hello Mellisa,

The time it takes for a complete virus scan of your computer depends on your computer's processing power and the number of files to be scanned into your computer.

The answer to your second question is yes. You may do other stuff during the scan, but it will slow the scanning process down.

Constantly update your antivirus software and at least have one complete scan of your system once a week.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mellisa.

It actually depends on which software you are using to scan your computer. It will not take much time. It takes 5-8 minutes on average.

Yes, you can do other stuffs while scanning your computer. You can play media files and make browsing. It will not give any bad impact in the scan result. Whatever you do, your scanner will scan all the files of your computer. So, the result will not change if you do any other stuff while scanning. But it will slow down your computer. If you do other stuffs, your scanner will become much slower and will take more time to scan the whole computer. Your other stuff will slow down too. It will make you wait to do anything.

So, it is better to do no other stuffs while scanning your device. But you can do that if it is very urgent to do. This will affect the scan time, but scan results will be perfect.

Thank you for your question.

Hi there,

It depends on your computer processor and RAM, and also with your anti-virus and the amount of files you are about to scan.

Yes, it is possible to do other stuffs; you can play, watch, surf, type, etc. But it will make your computer slow. It will slow down the scanning process and also the stuffs that you are doing.

So for faster scanning, it is much better not to do any other stuff and put your computer in a high performance.
