I have a small website but hosting by 3rd party.I have a p4 cpu and i want to make that my mail server.Will anyone please tell me how to create a mail server.What necessary software and hardware i need for it.

To make a mail server first you have to decide about your OS to use for this purpose. I am suggesting Linux for this feature.
After installing Linux choose your mail server. There are three main mail servers in Linux. Sendmail , Qmail and Postfix. Select one of them as you like.
Then you need to take a hosting space for your mail server. In this purpose you need a domain if you want to create outside mail server.
Your final task is to configure FTP, SSH, Web, Email, etc. once it was done then you can use this mail server for your own purpose or business purpose. Â Â Â Â
