Can you please show me how to install both Windows 7 (with Sony as backup DVD) and an additional server 2003 on my notebook? Is it possible to have these two OS running at the same time in a notebook in the first place?

Hello William, yes it is absolutely possible to install both Windows 7 and Server 2003 in your notebook. But for that you have to keep in mind these two things:

1. First install Server 2003 and then install Windows 7. Maintaining this sequence in vital as it will help Windows Boot Manger to automatically make dual boot of your Windows Server 2003 OS and Windows 7 OS properly. Note that your  Windows Server 2003 will be recognized as an “Earlier Version of Windows”. Otherwise you will face problems in dual booting these two OS.

2. You need to install them in different partitions on your hard drive. So, while installing Windows 7, choose a different drive than the one you used to install your Windows Sever 2003.

Yes. Both of these things can be installed in your device in a simple way. For this follow these instructions;

1.Make one more partition in the hard drive.

2.Then install Windows Server in that partition.

I will also suggest that re-install the windows 7 if you do.First install windows server 2003.after that windows 7.
