How to install and launch themes on Xperia X8 (OS: Android)

Here is my problem: My girlfriend would like to modify the theme of her Xperia X8.

For that, it is apparently necessary to go on Market: we did.

We have founded some themes available, we download the theme and we open it, but nothing happen just a bar which appears then disappears in bottom of the screen.

 The point on which I would like that you help me: How (ALL stages One by one), to install a theme on that phone?

 Which software is it necessary to install as a preliminary and how?

 How to use it?

 I would be very grateful to you because I' m going crazy by a system requiring being at least an engineer.

Hi,

 I think the themes you downloaded from the Android Market as the name had ADW;;;

Here's a simple solution:

 To apply the theme Xperia X8, always on the market :

1. Must download ADWlauncher
2. In the setting of ADWLauncher, you can choose between many theme applicable.

The execution of files and folders, I advise you to download "File Manager ASTRO" from the market

How to install and launch themes on Xperia X8 (OS: Android)

You will need a home launcher to successfully install a theme in your Xperia X8. You can use ADW Launcher or LauncherPro.

You can download it on the market and when done with the installation on your mobile phone, you can start collecting themes and installed it on your X8.

Try using alternate home launcher so you can have more options on optimizing your home screen.

ADW Launcher can tweak your Android desktop and has a function of drag and drop buttons.

You can also create your own app drawer and get unlimited shortcuts/folders.

How to install and launch themes on Xperia X8 (OS: Android)

Here is a way how you can install a new theme for your Sony Xperia. But remember that after installing this theme you will no longer be able to go back to the previous theme you used. If you want to remove this theme you need to install your handset’s firmware. This method requires a rooted Android device, root explorer, and MOD file.

• To start things up, download the custom theme first. Most of the time, the theme is in a ZIP file.
• Extract the contents of the ZIP file in a folder. You need to have WinZIP, WinRAR, 7-Zip, or other file extractor to extract the contents of the ZIP file. After extracting you will have DefaultThemes.apk. This file is no different to Android applications because it also uses the “.apk” extension which denotes that it is an Android package.
• Using the root explorer, copy the file in “/system/app”.
• After that set permissions “rw-r-r” and then reboot your Smartphone.
