How to install active desktop for internet café?

I have an internet café, I have 20 computer units in my shop. Ten machines are running Windows Vista and 10 machines are running Windows 7. What I would like to happen is to customize the desktop of all the machines in my shop, so I am thinking of replacing the normal windows desktop icons with an active desktop for internet café. I tried to use file:// protocol but it simply won’t work. I would like to know how I can do this?

There are a lot of active desktops available for download online. All you need to do is to search for an active desktop that is compatible to your operation system.

Hello Jair Zachery,

You don’t need to download any application just to change the icon of your desktop. You can do it by simply follow these steps:

1.    Select the icon you want to change

2.    Right click on your desktop icon

3.    Hit the change icon button

4.    Then you can choose the icon whatever you want. (make sure that the image is a .ico file)

Hi,

You just need and application that can change the icons. There is a very good application that i know its called tuneup utilities. with it you can change the icons of most of the items. it also includes several other options for the customization of your desktop. I hope you find the solution of your problem. Good luck

Thank you all for your precious solutions. Really I am tired of downloading. Peiann Frank, your solution amazed me because without downloading you solved my problem easily. These steps are very simple and new to me. Before reading this I had no idea about that. Using your advice I am now able to replace the normal windows desktop icons.
