Hi there,

Yes it is possible to get remote storage because remote storages only works on NTFS systems!

It is not installed as default when setting up server 2003, but it be enabled later using Control panel, I will guide you through the steps!

  • Log in to your systems as administrator.
  • Verify that remote disk can detect any type of proper disk library or hard drive?
  • Verify that the drive you are making remote storage are formatted properly using NTFS File systems.
  • If you want data compression then compress volume before further operation.
  • Install remote storage and start the setup wizard.
  • Select volumes to manage.
  • Set up their free space during management.
  • Set up criteria for copying of files.
  • Select type of disk for remote storage.
  • Set number of remote COPIES you want to made!

These are the steps through which you can set up your remote copy through Contro Panel!

Hope it works!!
