How to fix flash memory boot sector without formatting ?

My flash drive boot sector appears to be attacked by some malware or virus.

How can I fix flash memory boot sector without formatting my flash drive.

I don't want to lose my data by formatting.

Could anyone help me please?

How to fix flash memory boot sector without formatting ?

Hi Mili Nelson

We cannot fix boot sectors of our flash drive or USB drive. It can be done to format the flash drive from your system. You don't want to lose your data in flash drive so you can do one thing, First turn off the Auto-run of flash drives in your system.

Then Attach your Flash Drive to the system and don't open Flash Drive directly.

1. Open Command Prompt first by typing CMD at Run.
2. Go to your flash drive by typing your flash drive letter at Command Prompt. For ex: G: and press enter
3. Then type dir to view all files and folders in your flash drive.
4. Then by using Xcopy command, copy all your data in your system, not virus files. Then format your flash drive. This will fix your flash drive's boot sector.
